1201.1 IT Requests

The NDUS definition of information technology includes, but is not limited to: hardware, software, services, and supporting infrastructure to manage and deliver information using voice, data, and video. The NDUS Procedure 1201.1 spells out the IT systems and services of specific types, dollar amounts, and/or of specific interest within the NDUS Strategic Architecture that require the NDUS CIO’s approval. There are three types of approvals available for institutions:

A. Purchase Notice: Is intended to provide an efficient method for institutions to notify the NDUS CIO and other members of the CIO Council of small purchases that do not impact NDUS resources and do not require a waiver from NDUS Procedure 1200.1. Submission will be to the NDUS work management system Team Dynamix and must complete the service request form and include all required information.

B. Integrated Approval: Is intended to insure institutions provide a thorough review of purchases that require integration(s) or interface(s) with NDUS systems. Submission will be to the NDUS work management system Team Dynamix and will require the completion of:

The business unit manager and CIO Council representative can expect a 15 business day turn around on CIO approval unless additional information is required by the CIO.

C. Large Project Approval: Is intended to insure institutions provide a thorough review of projects that meet N.D.C.C. threshold for major IT projects. Submission will be to the NDUS work management system Team Dynamix and will require the completion of:
